Service Details

Denny Earl Rice, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. His life was marked by deep love, unwavering kindness, and a passion for racing go-karts.

Denny was a man who found joy in the simple things—tinkering in the garage, spending time at the track, and most of all, being surrounded by his family. He especially loved babies and lit up anytime he was near the youngest members of the family. His gentle nature and big heart made him a favorite with every generation.

He had a lifelong love for coffee, often starting his day with a hot cup and some tv. Denny was also a talented mechanic who could fix just about anything with an engine. Whether it was in the garage or at the track, he was happiest when his hands were busy and a motor was humming nearby.

In addition to his passion for racing and mechanics, Denny had an amazing bowling career and was known for his skill and sportsmanship on the lanes. He also enjoyed golf and could often be found on the course enjoying the game and the company of friends and family.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Cheryl, with whom he shared many wonderful years. His Brother Steve. He also leaves behind his children: Eddie, Shelly, Andy, and Randy who each carry on his humor, warmth, and strength.

Denny was the proud grandfather of Branden, Crystal, Blake, Trevor, Shelby, Brooke, Kelsey, Logan, Jordan, and Kaden. His role as “Grandpa” was one he cherished deeply.

He was also blessed with great-grandchildren who brought him endless joy: Jayden, Axel, Huxley, Blakely, Harlow, Atticus, Tripp, Rebel, Piper, Harper, Rowdy, and Kohen- His family welcomed baby Halston, the newest light in a legacy of love, just this past Monday.

Denny’s legacy is one of laughter, loyalty, and living life full throttle—just like the tracks he loved to race on, at the bowling alley, under the hood of a car, or out on the golf course. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit and memory will continue to race on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, father, four siblings and grandson, who no doubt welcomed him home with open arms.
