Cynthia Kephart

Cynthia Sue Kephart, age 58, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2024.

Cindy was born January 4, 1966, in Des Moines, Iowa to Ernie and Sondra Stoker. She was the manager of Pizza Hut for many years. In her younger years, she was a NASCAR fan and enjoyed State Fair racing. Cindy liked camping and she collected unicorn figurines. She loved her cat, Sassy and enjoyed watching reality TV, crime shows, game shows, and playing games on her phone. Cindy was an animal lover and volunteered at the zoo. She was an avid Hawkeye Football fan and enjoyed watching Minnesota Vikings with her husband. She was so caring and was the best gift giver, carefully planning and giving the most thoughtful gifts. She loved her family and watching her granddaughters grow up.

She is survived and lovingly remembered by her husband, Phillip; daughters, Jess (Miguel) and Onna Lynn (James); granddaughters, Nova and Mars; fur baby, Sassy; brothers in law and sisters in law; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Jamie.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Fort Des Moines Park, 7200 SE 5th St, Des Moines, IA 50315.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the family or to the Animal Rescue League in loving memory of Cindy.
