Norval Craig Michael, 70, passed away November 30, 2024.

He was born February 5, 1954 to Norval and Lucille Michael. Craig loved camping, boating, and fishing. He also enjoyed NASCAR, especially cheering on his favorite driver, Jeff Gordan.

Craig is survived by his sons, Travis Michael and Toby Michael; granddaughter, Liliana Michael; love of his life, Valerie Wiorek; Val’s children, Heather Gomez, Natasha Miller, Lisa Sharpnack, and Crystal Flanagan; Craig’s siblings, Gene Michael, Mary Jane Michael, and Diane Sweeden; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other loving relatives, and many special friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Norval and Lucille Michael; and his brother, Larry Michael.

Family will greet friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Craig will be laid to rest at Pine Hill Cemetery, 524 NW 54th Avenue in Des Moines at a later date.
