Chandee Phonsavath

Chandee Phonsavath, age 75, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2026.

Chandee was born on August 4, 1950, in Ban Don, Bor Keo, to Phomma and Phan Boudy. She carried her heritage and traditions with her throughout her life.

She found great joy in going to the temple and spending time with her friends and family. Above all, Chandee cherished her time with her grandchildren, who brought her immense happiness.

Chandee is survived by her children, Teng Boudy, Kham (Ladda) Boudy, Houmpheng Phonsavath, Siphet Phonsavath, and Chanpeng Phonsavath; her grandchildren, Somkit Phonsavath, Pengdee Phonsavath, Billy Noy, Emily Noy, Cameron Boudy-Malavong, and Crystal Boudy-Malavong; and her great-grandchildren, Tevin and Savia.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Sipheng Phonsavath; seven siblings; and one child.

Services will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa 50313.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Chandee.
