Brent Leonard Willcox

Brent Leonard Willcox, 82, went to be with his Lord on Monday, April 29, 2024.

Brent was born January 11, 1942 to Leonard and Audrey (Devine) Willcox in Davenport, Iowa. He lived most of his life in the Des Moines, IA area, residing in his Clive home for the last 44 years. He owned Iowa Environmental Systems, which he founded in 1984, and retired from in 2002. Prior to that he sold Sharp cash registers and electronic calculators.

He traveled to Japan with Donna twice on two -week sight seeing reward trips for high sales. He was a proud member of the Iowa National Guard Marine Corp where he served for seven years.

Brent loved football, fishing and wood building projects. He built a gazebo, gnome house and extensive decking at his Clive residence. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and good friend to many.

He will be dearly missed by his high school sweetheart and wife of 61 years, Donna; his sons, Eric (Tracey) Willcox of Clive, IA and Todd Willcox of Birmingham, AL; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and brother, Brad (Lindsay) Willcox of West Des Moines, IA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Audrey Willcox of Des Moines.

Celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Westkirk Presbyterian Church, 2700 Colby Woods in Urbandale, IA with visitation one hour prior.

Memorial contributions may be made to Westkirk Presbyterian Church in loving memory of Brent.
