Services for Beverly will be hold on Friday, April 19, 2024 at 2:00 p.m., at Hamilton’s Altoona Funeral Home, 105 4th Street S.W., Altoona, Iowa. Visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to services.

Beverly was born on October 11, 1934 in Grimes and was raised on a farm just west of Grimes, Iowa. She graduated from Grimes High School in 1953. In 1963 she married Kenneth Carter and moved to Altoona. She worked various jobs during her working career and retired in 1996 after working 18 years with the Southeast Polk School District Payroll Office. After retiring she spent the winters in Mission, Texas. Kenny passed away in 2000 after 37 years of marriage. Beverly continued going to the Valley for the winters. In 2003 she met and married Eugene Robarge and they moved permanently to Mission, Texas in 2008.

She was a member of the Altoona United Methodist Church and attended First United Methodist Church of Mission, Texas and was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles 109. She loved and enjoyed country music, NFL football, dancing and NASCAR racing.

Beverly is survived by her husband, Gene; daughter, Gayle (Greg) Irving; step-daughters, Barbara Carter, Lorraine Brockman, Deb Marley, Jill (Dwight) Brown and Jennifer Brye; numerous grandchildren along with several great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth and her mother, Esther Peterson.
