Beulah Lee Steele, 84, passed away on February 17, 2025, at Taylor House in Des Moines from complications of a stroke.

Lee was born March 11, 1940, in Des Moines to Mary McPherson. She attended Lincoln High School. Lee was a part of a card club for well over 50 years. She loved playing dominos, seeing friends, and spending time at the senior center. Lee was a bookkeeper for Hiskey Apartments and Rainbow Laundry for many years. Lee, Larry, and Amy are devoted members of Christ the King Catholic Church.

Lee is survived by her children, Diana (Joseph) Tarpey, Daniel (Linda) Steele, Mark (Sharrie) Steele and Amy Steele; grandson, Jason Rodgers; great-grandchildren, Matteson and Isabella Rodgers; brother, Jim Prine; sister-in-law, Jane Leto; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Bauge and Leonard Reeves; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Larry Steele; sister, Mary Lou (Wes) Sievertsen; sisters-in-law, Suzanne Reeves and Sandra Bauge; and brothers-in-law, Ralph Leto and Dennis Steele.

The family will greet friends Friday, February 21, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street followed by a Committal Service at the funeral home.
