Barbara E. Presti

Barbara Elaine Presti, 81, peacefully passed away Saturday, October 19, 2024 at her home at Wesley on Grand in Des Moines, Iowa.
Barbara was born to Donald and Pauline (Lumley) Jones in Des Moines, Iowa, on October 21, 1942. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. Barbara's humor and spunk touched the lives of all who knew her.
Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Ray J. Presti; parents, Donald and Pauline Jones; sisters, Norma Jean Buchanan, JoAnn Hesse, and Rosemary Sawhill.
Barbara is survived by her children, Stephen (Liz) Winders and Susan (Terry) Williams; grandchildren, Staci Lariviere, Lindsey (Jordon) Altenhofen, Grace Winders, and Kaitlyn Winders; great-grandchildren, Vander Lariviere and Raelynn Altenhofen; brother-in-law, Barry Hesse, her nieces and nephews; and her many friends, including those she worked with at John Deere in Ankeny, Iowa, and Presti and Presti Investigations in Granger, Iowa.
She leaves a legacy of love that will continue to inspire those who knew her.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines, Iowa to celebrate her life, allowing friends and family to honor her memory. Private family burial will follow at Avon Cemetery in Des Moines, Iowa.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation or the WesleyLife Foundation.
She will be deeply missed but forever cherished in our hearts.

Aunt Barbara,
Thank you for everything you have done for me. I am so thankful that I had a fun spunky Aunt like you in my life. You always had many stories to share about your childhood, John Deer, memories that you and uncle ray had, etc. You will be dearly missed and I will always love you ❤️
