Brad L. Weikert, 63, passed away Monday, March 18, 2024, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.
Brad was born June 27, 1960, to Leo E. and Donna M. (Evans) Weikert.
He was an avid Chicago Bears fan and enjoyed going to car races. Brad was very social and never knew a stranger.
He is survived by his sister, Kay Doser; partner, Shelly Johns; children, Niki Ayers (Steve) and Joseph Munoz; granddaughters, Taylor and Rylee Doser; his little four-legged buddy, Smokey; as well as many nieces, nephews, other loving relatives, and many special friends.
Brad was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Donna Weikert.
There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Amvets Post 2, 2818 5th Avenue, Des Moines.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the family.

Brad was one of the nicest people I've ever known. I hadn't seen him in awhile & I was so sorry to hear this. My condolences to his family & friends.

Rick and I are so very sorry to hear about Brad. Brad was my brother Harry's best friend for.. many years. I will miss seeing you at Fareway, at Riverview for the concerts and other places we would happen to run into each other. Brad always had a big bear hug for me when I would see him and always asked how we were doing. Brad, you will be missed by so many I'm glad I got to know you so many years ago. When you see Harry up there in heaven tell him "hello" for me.

You were a great guy Brad and friend to many! You almost always had a smile and laugh that was contagious my friend. Say hello to my brother Jack for me! You will be missed! God Bless you my friend. Until we meet again!
