Billy “Bill” A. Dyke, Sr., of Des Moines, Iowa passed away Thursday, August 1, 2024, at the age of 81. He was born January 12, 1943, in Ottumwa, Iowa to Joseph Pete Dyke and Cleo Dudley.

Bill was a hardworking man, who worked at a steel plant in Des Moines, as well as many different jobs. He loved going fishing and mushroom hunting, and enjoyed watching westerns. He was always tinkering with his cars.

Bill is survived by his children, Kelly Lewis, Deb Carpenter, and Billy Dyke, Jr. of Des Moines, and his brother, Jack Dudley of Sun City, CA. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Dyke, mother, Cleo Dudley, brothers, James Dudley and Otis Dudley, and his sister, Janice McGee.

He will be greatly missed by many.

There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Fellowship, 2440 Capitol Avenue, Des Moines, IA 50317.
