Ashley Marie Hall
April 01, 1990 — April 10, 2026
Ashley Marie Hall passed away Friday, April 10, 2026. She had just celebrated her 36th birthday. Ashley was born the daughter of Tawnya (Jamez) Swanson and Ralph Hall on April 1, 1990, in Des Moines, Iowa.
Ashley was bold, beautiful, and displayed the brightest smile. You would immediately feel her presence when she entered a room. She was full of life, a burst of energy, and always ready for anything. Her physique may have been petite, but her personality was not. She gave her attention and listened without judgement. Just like an empath, she could understand your struggles and pull the positive out of them for you. You could tell her anything. She had a contagious laugh and loved just hanging out with her loved ones, as well as meeting new people. Ashley was loyal and would be there, without question, for those dear to her heart. Ashley loved her daughters, their father Miguel, and all her family and friends. She loved animals, especially her cat Luna. Ashley was very in tune with her spiritual sense. Ashley was a graduate of North High School in Des Moines and worked for the Laborers Union for Asbestos Removal.
Ashley will be deeply missed by her loving daughters, Aaliyah Hall, Lailyhn Hernandez-Swanson, and Jenahviv Hernandez-Swanson; her life partner, Miguel Hernandez; her mother Tawnya (Charles) Swanson; her brothers, Reinaldo (Ray) Villarreal, Orlando Villarreal, Adrian Jamez, and Antonio Swanson; her father, Ralph C. Hall Jr.; her grandmother, Kathleen M. Hall; her godmother, Christine Newell; as well as her numerous beloved siblings, cousins, extended family, friends, and the community.
Ashley was preceded in death by her grandparents, David and Katherine McCullough and Ralph C. Hall Sr.; and aunt Crystal McCullough.
Services will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Kingdom Life Family Ministries, 321 Euclid Ave, Des Moines. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by her funeral service at 11:00 a.m. There will be no formal repass after the service.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family to provide for her children.
