Adele Haag, 79, passed away December 2, 2023 at Bickford of Urbandale.
She was born August 15, 1944 to John and Edna (Erickson) Hewitt. Adele graduated from Des Moines Technical High School. She was a dancing instructor for much of her life and met her husband dancing at the 505. Adele loved the beach, picking up seashells, and fishing. She once caught a shark off the beach over 6 feet long. Adele enjoyed long car rides to the Florida Keys and Galveston Island.
Adele is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Don Haag; son, Brian (Amy) Gooden, 3 grandchildren, Ayla, Katya, and Michael Gooden; nieces, Soyna Christofferson and LeaAnne Falke. Brother-in-law, Dale Haag; Step-daughter, Chrystal, Step-sons, Scott, Don, and Frank.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Delores.
Service will be Monday, December 18, 2023 at 12:00 P.M. at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue Des Moines, Iowa. Burial will occur directly following at Highland Memory Gardens, 1 Northeast 60th Avenue Des Moines, Iowa.

All of us kids loved you Don and Adele. We'll never forget all the fun and good times. Especially that trip we all took to Galveston and the ferry ride. I probably shouldn't have brought the Cheetos. All the seagulls loved them though. I know you are not suffering anymore. See you soon. Much love n hugs to the family

Adele and Linda have known each other since grade school at Windsor and
was Maid of honor at our wedding. Many good memories over the years from
ball games to class reunions, she was a great lady. We were sorry we could not
attend the funeral both of us have been sick with flu.

Adele was a wonderful cousin that I enjoyed growing up with! She was always fun, had a great sense of humor, and laughed easily. She will be greatly missed.
