My condolences to Al's family and friends. I haven't seen Al in years since working with him at the CBPD in the late 70's. Saddened to see his obituary today but it brought back so many funny memories. Al had a great sense of humor and I'm sure he'll be sorely missed.

Good evening. We were saddened to learn of the passing of our dear classmate,
Allen. He was loved and respected by all who knew him. He even spent time this
summer playing golf with his DCHS classmates. He will truly be missed.

I was sorry to hear the news of Al's passing. When I was in high school I was a counselor at the youth summer camp that the CB Police Dept put on. It was there that I met and got to know Al. Al was always so much fun to be around and was so well liked by everyone. He was a great person who you could always talk with about anything. He will be missed. My thoughts to his family during this difficult time.

Al and I were in Boy Scouts together in the mid 60’s. I looked up to him and was my mentor in so many ways. He exemplified all the qualities of not only a good Scout, but even more so, a good friend. Intelligent, funny (and I mean really really funny), thoughtful and so kind were just a few of Al’s traits. I can still hear his hilarious laughter all those decades ago. My life was enriched by him being in my life, as a young boy. I’m a better person as an adult by just knowing Al. My prayers go out to all of his siblings during this difficult time. Farewell Allen, thank you for being my friend.
