Aaron L. Crewse

Aaron Lynn Crewse, age 50, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

Aaron was born December 26, 1972, in Des Moines, Iowa to Ivon Lynn Crewse and Virginia “Jenny” (Moore) Crewse. He graduated from East High School in 1991. The passion that directed Aaron’s life was music. At 12 years old, he convinced his mom to let him attend a KISS concert, and he loved every minute of it! That led him to a career of lighting technician for bands such as Strutter, Dirty Little Rabbits, Slipknot, and many other local bands. This gave him the opportunity to travel around the country, doing what he loved. Aaron was a caring and giving person. He was always there for anyone who needed him. Above all, he loved his family dearly.

He is survived by his mother, Jenny Crewse; brother, Brent (Jessica) Crewse; daughters, Christine and Miranda; two grandchildren; grandfather, Robert Moore; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Aaron was preceded in death by his father, Ivon “Lynn” Crewse; and his grandparents, Ivon and Marjorie Crewse, and grandmother, Virginia Moore.

There will be a memorial visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, October 15, 2023, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory on Aaron.
