Service Details
Gary Ronald Fetters, 73, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2011, at Mercy Hospital. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
Gary was born in Des Moines on October 29, 1937, to Willard and Dorothy Fetters. He served in the US Air Force. Gary retired as a Meat Inspector for the USDA.
Gary is survived by his wife, Betty; his children, Mike, Andrew and Craig; his sister, Betty Mitchell; his 3 granddaughters and 1 grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents.

I am Gary's cousin, hia Aunt Evelyn's daughter and I was so sorry to hear of his passing. Our cousin, Jo Ann, passed on this sorry news.
Gary and I have not seen each other since we were kids and only spoke once a few years ago; but he was a fun cousin to have during the short time we knew each other. The last time we spoke he was so proud of his kids.
Again, I and my husband send our sincere condolences and will keep you in ours prays.

Dear Andy and Craig
I just read, on-line, of the passing of your dad. I first want to express my sympathy to the both of you. I remember visiting with your dad about 'his boys' while we were at Mingo. Second, I regret that I will not be able to attend the service tomorrow, and it was too late this evening to make the trip to Des Moines for the visitation. But both of you will be in my thoughts and prayers tomorrow. Please extend my sympathies to your mom and Michael.
