Louane Baccam

Louane Baccam, 72, passed away June 30, 2011, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, July 2, 2011, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, followed by cremation. A private burial will take place at a later date.

Louane was a Captain in the Lao Royal Army in 1968. He arrived in Des Moines in June of 1976. Louane started his employment at Hickland Power Company as a machinist, retiring in 2001.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Chap Baccam; daughter, Ting (David Tay) Luu; sons, Khamphone Baccam, Khampheuy (Bounsoung) Baccam, ViengThong (Loi) Baccam, Khamphoui (Debbie) Baccam, Khamphai Baccam and Khamphuy (Lavanh) Baccam; sister, La Baccam; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
