Tera Bruning, 48, passed away surrounded by her family on June 28, 2011.

She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband, Ron; parents, Phil and Kathy Morris of Murietta, CA; daughter, Lindsey (David) Green and their children, Brenna, Aidan and Chase of Waconia, MN; son, Alex of West Des Moines; brother, Jeff Morris of Benton, AR; mother-in-law, Wiesje Pieracci of West Des Moines; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Tera will be remembered for a great many things, but most fondly for her infectious smile and the light in her eyes that continued to glow over the years and persevered through illness.

All of her life Tera was privately very spiritual and continuously prayed for the well being of her family; particularly her husband, children, grandchildren and parents. She was compassionate, loving and an incredible cook. Above all Tera was a loving mother and wife. She was so proud of her son, Alex for his athletic abilities and his love of sports. Even more so, she relished in his musical talents. She loved to listen to him play the guitar and bragged to everyone she spoke to about how talented he was. She was also proud of her daughter, Lindsey. She would share stories with strangers, neighbors and friends about how great of a mother she thought Lindsey was and how wonderful all three of her grandchildren are. She was impressed with Lindsey’s success in her career and Tera never failed to congratulate and celebrate all of Lindsey successes in life, business and family.

Tera enjoyed shopping, getting manicures, pedicures and all things beauty. She never left the house with out being dressed to the nines, and NEVER went out without heels on. While she may have loved the finer things in life, simple things were never lost on her either. From the time she was a little girl, Tera always took time to enjoy the world around her. Everything from watching a beautiful little birdie as a Kindergartner to a beautiful sunset with her husband on their honeymoon, Tera recognized beauty in all its forms.

Her children will remember her as a loving mother who would go to the ends of the earth to make them happy. She cuddled them when they were sad, she laughed with them when they were happy, and she was never afraid to put them in their place. Because of her, they are strong, smart and are better people because of the memories she made with them.

Her husband loved her for all she was and felt lucky to be married to such a wonderful woman who understood the importance of friendship, nights out with the boys and nights in with the family. They shared 18 years of happiness, laugher and love.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family. Donations will be made to charities close to Tera’s heart. Online condolences can be made to the family at www.HamiltonsFuneralHome.com.
