Evelyn Tedrow

Evelyn K. Tedrow, 88 of Des Moines died Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at home. Funeral services will be held 9:00 A.M., Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, with burial in Jordan Cemetery in West Des Moines. Visitation will be 6-8 P.M. on Monday evening at the funeral home.
Evelyn was born March 7, 1919 in Des Moines. She married Foster Tedrow on December 31, 1943. Evelyn worked for the Ordinance Plant in Ankeny during WWII, the Rollins Hosiery Mill, and retired from the Des Moines School District. She was a member of the Galilee Baptist Church and was active in the AWANA group. Evelyn loved flowers, gardening and spending time with her family.
Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Janice (Scott) Falb of Des Moines; her son, Richard (Jane) Tedrow of Carlisle; her sister, Betty Boller of Urbandale; three granddaughters; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, five brothers, one sister, and an infant child.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in memory of Evelyn.
