William Howard Fry, 90, died Sunday, June 12, 2011, at the Iowa Veteran’s Home in Marshalltown. He was born October 25, 1920 in Maxwell, Iowa, the son of James and Myrtle (Smith) Fry.
William served in the United States Navy from 1941 to 1947 and retired as a Barber after 39 years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, and square dancing. William cherished spending time with his family and enjoyed that above all else.
William is survived by his loving wife, Betty; sons, Richard (Regina) and Dennis (Mary) Fry; five grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; and his brother, Alfred Fry. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughters, Paulette Fry and Janet Fry-Perkovich; brother, Donald; and sisters, Geraldine Sample, Maxine Carman, Bertha Maxwell, Blanche Bloomfield and Clara Fry.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday, June 18, 2011, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines. A memorial reception will follow the visitation at 1 p.m., at Dorcas Hall on Main Street in Cambridge, Iowa.

So sorry for your loss.
I didn't know Bill personal but Regina talked about him so much, I felt like I knew him some. He must of been one very special person from the stories she told.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Bill and my father both had spouses with Alzheimer's. I tried so hard to get my father to be as outgoing as Bill was, to get out and do things like Bill did. He was an outstanding, and strong person. He will not be forgotten. If you need anything, please let me know.
