Mary Lucille LaFratte

Mary Lucille LaFratte was born July 3, 1923, in Des Moines, the daughter of Pasquale and Carmella (Loffredo) LaFratte. She passed away peacefully June 9, 2011, at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames.

Mary is survived by her nephew, Donald Burk of West Des Moines; niece, Helen Burk of Story City; niece, Linda Rhinehart of Des Moines; nephew, Patrik LaFratte of West Des Moines; other loving relatives and many wonderful friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Katherine (LaFratte) Burk and her brother, Franklin LaFratte.

A Vigil Service will be held at 5:30 p.m., followed by visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, June 13, 2011, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Ambrose Cathedral, 607 High Street, with burial to follow at Glendale Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army in loving memory of Mary.
