Margaret Butters

Margaret Elizabeth Butters, 66, passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at Kavanagh on 56th St. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, April 16, 2007 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
She was a lifelong resident of Des Moines and worked at George’s Chili King for over 30 years. Margaret enjoyed playing bingo, crossword puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren & family.
Margaret is survived by her children, Leonard (Elaine) Letze, Tony (Michelle) Butters, Rebecca Auch, Audy (Tammy) Butters, Dean (Elsie)Butters, Jeri (Cliff) Scholley and Rhonda Sears; mother, Dorothy Smith; sisters, Linda Hegland, Patty Smith, Gloria Penn, Lolly Edwards, Dorothy Magnani and Bobbette Gebhardt; brother, Jerry Smith; 19 grandchildren and 16 step-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her father, Robert George Smith, daughter, Dorothy Letze; brother’s, David Smith and Richard
Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of Central Iowa Kavanagh House on 56th.
