Service Details
Donna B. Borron, 82, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at Taylor House. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 11 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street, Des Moines with burial following at the Carlisle Cemetery. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Donna loved all animals and had a special place in her heart for her beloved dog, Abby. Donna loved and worked at D.D. Pyle in Ames in accounting for many decades and had many fond memories.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Dale; her brothers, Delmar and Dean and sister, Vera.
Donna is survived by her daughter, Pam (Tom) Magilton of Newton and their children, Julie (Brian) Schmidt of Newton and Nicholas of New York City; her son, Jeffrey (Katherine) Borron of Carlisle and their children, Jonathan and Joshua of Des Moines and Jennafer of West Des Moines; her sisters, Mildred Johnson of Las Vegas and Florence Groth of Sac City and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of Iowa or the Animal Lifeline in loving memory of Donna.

Donna was a super nice person. She will be deeply missed. She is in a better place. Now she is with dale. They can celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary in dec. Love to you all. I wished i could of been there.

We will deeply miss our beloved neighbor and friend. Mackenzie and Caleb will remember the days of getting her mail, shoveling her driveway and needing to get to her backyard to retrieve a lost ball. Her kind heart will be our treasured memory.
