Eloise Marie Hall passed away Friday, June 3, 2011, at Iowa Methodist Hospital. She was 91 years old.

Eloise was born August 25, 1919, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Jessie (Harvey) and William Moeckly. She was a beautician before she started working as an administrative assistant for the Easter Seals of Iowa from which she retired. Her family and farm were her life. She was a member of the Ankeny American Legion Post 42, Ankeny Church of the Brethren, and the Order of the Eastern Star, Polk City.

Eloise is survived by her daughter, Connie (Jim) Johnson of Polk City; grandchildren, Joel, Jerry, and Jeff Johnson and Toby, Chad, and Chris Hall; twelve great grandchildren; and daughter in law, Sandra Hall. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norman T. Hall; son, Larry Hall; grandson, Timothy Hall; and siblings, Harvey Moeckly, Anna Booten, Vada Hale, and Wilma Mayner.

All services will take place at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 121 NW 60th Avenue. Visitation will be from 11 to 12 on Wednesday, June 8, 2011, with the funeral following at 12 p.m. Eloise will be interred at Crocker Cemetery in Polk City, Iowa. There will be a reception following the burial on the garden level of the funeral home.
