Cynthia Whitmore

Cindy (Rice) Whitmore was born in Pella, IA., on November 29, 1962, to Davie Rice and Mary Ann Simmons. She passed away unexpectedly at home on June 2, 2011.

A Memorial Service will be held at 6 p.m., Monday, June 6, at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Family will greet friends starting at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.

Cindy loved her family and they were the most important part of her life. She was an excellent cook, loved animals and going to the beach. She worked as a CNA and loved taking care of people.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children; Angie Whitmore, David (Heather) Whitmore, and Dustin Rice; her grandchildren, Alexis, Alyssa, Devyn, Devan, Kaylie, Elijah, Kaiden and Kaleb; her brother, Jim (Lisa) Simmons; her sisters, Sue See, Sheila Rice and Linda Lovell; and friend, Roger Fritz.
