Shirley Booth

Shirley Louise Booth, 83, passed away on June 2, 2011 at Bright Kavanagh House. Shirley was born on November 27, 1927 in Murray, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her husband Dale and her son Danny. She is survived by her son, Steven (Mary) and two grandchildren, Jamie Fitzgerald and Sara Booth, and by her beloved great-grandchildren, Danielle and Andrea.

Shirley was a teller at South Des Moines Brenton Bank for many years before becoming a commercial banker in the downtown Bankers Trust. She loved her family, her friends, her church, traveling, and Christmas. She was a sweet soul, generous and kind, and the world is made poorer by her passing.

Funeral will be held at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 3820 SW 9th St., on Monday, June 6, 2011 at 10 a.m. with visitation beginning at 9 a.m. Memorials may be directed to the family.
