James Edward Brown, 48, was born April 19, 1963, in Des Moines, and passed away May 29, 2011, from injuries sustained in a tragic motorcycle accident.

Ed loved the outdoors, whether it be fishing, boating or traveling and especially enjoyed riding his Harley. Anyone who knew Ed knew how much he loved to talk and eat. Above all else, Ed was a hard-working man who loved his children and family more than anything in this world.

Ed is survived by his children, Crystal (Nemesio) Brown, James (Angela) Brown II, Lacey Brown and Ashley Brown; grandchildren, Alexis, Destiny, Adryanna, Nemesio, Trinity, Kristina, James III and Stormy; grandmother, Hazel Pinckney; siblings, Dan Wolfe and Rose Lampman; special nephew, Jason Lampman and many other loving nephews, nieces, loving relatives and special friends. He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Nancy and Ed Sink; father, Julius Brown and brother, Frankie Brown.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 2, 2011, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
