Shae Nelson

Shae Nelson, 18, died peacefully in his sleep May 19, 2011, in Des Moines. He was born May 23, 1992, in Cedar Rapids, to Geoffrey and Gina Nelson.

Shae graduated from East Wenatchee in Washington State. He was very dependable, giving and gentle. He was shy, but very talkative around family and close friends. He was stubborn at times, but always helped out around the house. In his spare time, he loved to draw floor plans of his dream houses. Shae was a big kid with a big heart.

Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Geoff and Gina; brothers and best friends, Mat and Rhys; grandmother, Marty Ford; uncles, Jeremy Ford and Mike Miller; many other loving family members; and lifelong best friend Ryan Hackett.

Memorial services will be held at 5:30 p.m. Monday, May 23, 2011, at Calvary Church in Muscatine.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family in loving memory of Shae.
