Kenneth R. Baker

Kenneth Ray Baker, Sr., was born September 10, 1942, in Des Moines, and passed away at his home May 13, 2011. He retired from the Iowa D.O.T. after many years of service. Following retirement he made his home in Texas, later returning to Des Moines to be with family. He attended the Southside Senior Center and enjoyed socializing with friends.

Kenneth is survived by his daughter, Pamela Baker; son, Kenneth Ray Baker, Jr.; the mother of his children, Beverly Baker; brother, Carl Dean (Joyce) Baker; and his sister, Joyce A. (Dean) Doyle. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Opal Baker and his brother, Robert Lewis Baker.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 19, 2011, at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
