Lillian M. Saunders, 87, passed away May 11, 2011, at Taylor House Hospice.
Lillian was born May 20, 1923, to Joseph and Lucina Boehm in Valley Junction, Iowa. She was a member of the Corner Stone Baptist Church in Altoona.
Lillian is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann (Rodger) Cory; sons, Ron Wheeler, Ed Saunders, Jr., Bob Saunders, and Steve (Sherry) Saunders; daughter-in-law, Nancy Saunders; 19 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Edward, son, Larry, three brothers; and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 14, 2011, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by burial at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Indianola. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Cornerstone Baptist Church, 410 17th Avenue SW, Altoona, Iowa 50009.

To all of Lillian's family and friends, My heart goes out to you. I have known Lillian all of my life, she will be greatly missed by my Mother, Carol Dingman.
Now she can enjoy all of those awesome garage sales with no worries about the other ladies getting ahead of her.
