Joe Tulk

Joe Tulk, 52, was born on March 3, 1959 in Des Moines, Iowa to Paul and Beverly Tulk. He passed away on Monday, May 9, 2011. Joe was a strong man with a huge heart. He loved his family and always put his children first. Joe was an excellent baseball coach.

He was a star athlete in high school and qualified All State in track. He went on to proudly serve in the U.S. Army during Desert Storm. Joe worked as an iron worker, a landscaper, and for the U.S. Post Office.

Joe is survived by his children, Jason, John, and Kayla Tulk; grandson, Thursday; granddaughter, Haylie; father, Paul Tulk; brothers, Paul Tulk, Jr. and Tony Rivera; sisters, Terri Tulk, Darla Tulk, and Paula King; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Beverly Tulk.

Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2011 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street with a visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
