William Briggle

William “Billy” Briggle, 69, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 4, 2006 at Kavanagh House on 56th. Funeral services will be at 12:00 PM Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home.
Billy was born October 22, 1937 in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Murrel and Evelyn (Harless) Briggle. He was a retired laborer with Local Union #177. Billy liked the Iowa Hawkeyes and Nascar racing. He enjoyed playing pitch and cribbage with his friends, and loved dogs.
Billy is survived by his mother, Evelyn Briggle; his wife, Eleanor “Ellie” Hatfield; step-daughter, Pam Carmichael (Dave Heggen); sons, Mike and Kenneth Hatfield; granddaughters, Katie, Jeannette, Crystal and Karma; grandsons, Mike Jr. and Kenny Jr.; great-granddaughters, Vanessa and Kira; sisters, Frances Harter and Mary (Bob) Fogg; and brothers, Jerry and Donald Briggle. He was preceded in death by his father, Murrel Briggle; brothers, Lloyd Mundy and Edward Briggle; and sisters, Josephine Cross, Thelma Kempe and Delores Briggle.
The family will greet friends from 5-8pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Kavanagh House on 56th
