Edward Udrovich

Edward J. Udrovich, 90, was born January 26, 1921, in Carney, Iowa to Nick Udrovich and Anna Rumenovich. He died April 25, 2011, at Bright Kavanagh Hospice House in Des Moines.

Ed served in the United States Army as a surgical technician during WWII. He retired from Peerless Supply. Ed loved to hunt, fish, and golf. We will miss our loving father and devoted husband.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Udrovich; sons, Edward Jr. and Steven (Debbie) Udrovich; daughter, Annette Leth; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and his sister, Lily Flitcraft.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 29, 2011, at Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart Catholic Church, 510 E 1st Street, Ankeny, with burial to follow at Ankeny Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Family will greet visitors from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, April 28 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa or Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart Catholic Church in loving memory of Ed.
