Patricia Franklin

Patricia “Patti Sue” Franklin, 81, died Monday, April 25, 2011, at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines. She was born October 19, 1929, in St. Joseph, Missouri to Ruby and L.D. Goodson.

She was a member of Berwick Church of Christ. Patti Sue was a loving mother. Everyone who met her loved her. She made porcelain dolls and won numerous awards at the Iowa State Fair. She was very good at crafts. You name a craft and she was excellent at it. She enjoyed camping and fishing.

Patti Sue is survived by her husband, John; daughter, Kristi Dyer; son, Ronnie Dunagan; many grandchildren, nieces and nephews; her sisters, Ginger Meier, Joni Reints, Toni Birnholtz, Dixie Buecksler and Vickie Goder; and her brother, Wayne Sowers. She was preceded in death by her son, Johnny Franklin II, daughter, Dianne Dunagan- Knutson.

Funeral services will be held 12 p.m., Saturday, April 30, 2011, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., with burial to follow at Berwick Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to her family in loving memory of Patti Sue.
