Karen Zenor

Karen Kathleen Zenor, 70, died on Thursday, April 21, 2011, after a long battle with cancer at Mercy Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at Hamilton’s Altoona Funeral Home, with burial following at Altoona Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday evening.

Karen was born June 27, 1940, in Des Moines, to Margaret and Earl Kesler. Karen loved spending time with her grandchildren and pets. She loved going to the zoo, playing the organ, and reading.

Karen is survived by her husband, George Zenor; her children, Kitti McAnelly-Mason, Amy (Tim) Fowler, George (Jennifer) Zenor, and Kasey (Lonnie) Dings; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Kelly Lee; and daughter, Kathleen Kay.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation or the Animal Rescue League in loving memory of Karen.
