Doris Shogren

Doris H. Shogren, 86, died April 6, 2007 at Kavanagh on Grand. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, April 9, 2007 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial at Swan Cemetery in Swan, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Doris Shogren was born March 5, 1921 in Coggen, Iowa. She lived in the Des Moines area since the 1940’s. Doris was an LPN at Riverview Manor & Nursing Home and had been most recently employed by Nurse Force until her retirement in 2002. She was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church and the 700 Club.
Doris is survived by her daughter, Vida Frances McCullough; sons, Darwin Johnson and Jerry Johnson; step-sons, Alan Shogren, Douglas Shogren and Dale Shogren; brothers, Donald Pike, Melvin Pike and Richard Pike; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Shogren; son, Lyle Johnson; grandson, William Thompson and her parents.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
