Service Details
Ruth Chiesa, 91, passed away April 16, 2011, at Trinity Center at Luther Park. She was born October 29, 1919 to Charles and Mary Webb and was a lifelong resident of Des Moines. She will be remembered for her love of spending time with her family and her pets.
Ruth is survived by her daughters, Beverly (Mike) Goulden and Sandy (Marty) Talarico; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Aldo; one brother; and five sisters.
A funeral service will be 12 p.m., Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines, followed by burial at Glendale Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League.

I am sorry to hear that you mom passed away. She always sent me a Christmas card even after my folks both passed away. Your family has been friends with mine for 58 years eventhough we have gone our seperate ways for many years now. I remember playing with you at your house and mine and even your sisters petty coats starched so stiff that they would stand on their own. My thoughts are with you and yours.

Ruth was a great lady, and I do mean a lady. I have many fond memories of the bar she managed by the Colonial Bakery. She was so kind to my sister, and kind of like a "2nd Grandma" to her kids. I will always remember her smile.
