James M. “Jim” Krupp, 67, was born May 27, 1943, in Melbourne, Iowa, the son of Floyd and Arlene (McCreary) Krupp. He passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at Bright Kavanagh House in Des Moines.
Jim is survived by his son, Jeff Krupp (Karla Gould) of Marshalltown, Iowa and his son, Christian Krupp of LeGrand, Iowa; his daughter, Jodi (Thad) Douglas of Altoona, Iowa and their sons Aidan and Hunter Douglas; his siblings, Larry (Connie) Krupp of Nevada, Iowa, Linda (Bob) Ellicott of Missouri and Albert (DeAnna) Krupp of Arizona; as well as his nieces and nephews, Kim (John) Bowen of Minnesota, Wendi (Brian) Cigrand of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Kris Krupp of Newton, Iowa, Chad Ellicott of Missouri, Darin (Alicia) Krupp of California and David (Aurora) Krupp of Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Private memorial services were held at Hamilton’s Altoona Funeral Home, 105 4th Street SW. Burial of cremated remains will take place at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis National Society Iowa Chapter, 8187 University Blvd., Clive, Iowa 50325, in loving memory of Jim.

Jim was like a father to me in 72 after my father died. Many fond memories from Zenos pizza in Newton where he taught me how to make a pizza in 25 seconds. A big boy with a big heart and a large sense of humor. God bless you Jim.

I was really saddened to hear of the loss of another of our class of '62'. Jim & I spent a lot of time together in class & sports as well as "cruising". Football, basketball, etc. we tried to do it all. I only wish I had been able to contact Jim more than I did over the years since then. I share a lot of fond memories with Jim & the "gang". I give my Best to the Families & I would hope to be able to reconnect with Albert as we are both still in AZ after all these years. Remembering "Big Jim".

I am so sorry to read of Jim's passing. If you don't remember me I am your cousin on your Mother's side. My folks were Spike and Tootie McCreary. I have wondered so many time where you all went and now I know.
May God comfort you in your time of sorrow. My husband passed away 8 years ago and it is very difficult in those last days and is comforting to know that they no longer on hurting.

I wish to express my deepest sympathy to the family of James "Jim" Krupp.
I was a classmate of Jim in the last class to graduate from Melbourne High
School in 1962. I also was a friend of Jim and remember when he call me
51 from our football days, which was at that time the fullback going through
the hole between the center and guard on the left side. We had some good
times together. Jim was a very good person and had a great sense of humor.
I will always remember those times. I know the family will miss him very
much. My prayers will be with all of you.

Jim was my second cousin (I am Gladys Lucas' daughter) and am sorry to hear of Jim's death. I didnt know him very well but remember the few times I ran into him, how much fun he was.
