Rosemary Dustman, 80, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2011. Memorial services will be held in Arizona and Minnesota at a later date.
Rosemary was born on May 3, 1930 in Minneapolis, MN to Carl and Ceclia Edman. She was an entrepreneur all her life and owned three secretarial services and then owned a marina in Wayzeta, MN, retiring in 1979. She was also a member of the Red Hat Club.
She will be greatly missed by her nieces, Sue (Kevin) Gilbert, Jona (Howie) Jacobson, and Sydney Kingman; her nieces children whom she thought of as grandchildren, Paige, Tess, Nathan, and Joey. Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband, Herman “Dusty” Dustman; her brother, Karl Edman and her companion, Harvey Udell.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family who will erect a memorial bench at Arbor Springs. In today's paper I note the passing of Rosemary Dustman. This is of particular interest to me . My husband , Harold Solmonson , is a cousin of Rosemary . He passed away on October 7 , 2010 . exactly 6 months before Rosemary's death . Rosemary's father , Carl , was a brother to Ellen( Edman ) Solmonson. Ellen was my husband's mother . She died around 1984 .
I recall visiting Rosemary and her husband at a duplex in Minneapolis
during the early years of our marriage . I also remember visiting them at at a marina in Wayzata . We were able to visit Carl Edman Jr on several different occasions . I never met Carl Edman Sr . , but did meet some of the other Edman
family members ; Fred and Mazel, Betty and George Madsen .
My husband Harold would have been so sad to learn of Rosemary's passing . He always spoke so kindly of her .
