Ernest L. "Martin" Rundle

Ernest Rundle, 76, passed away April 6, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center from injuries suffered from a car accident.

Ernie was born November 10, 1934, in Woodward, Iowa. He served in the U.S. Army, and was a retired steel worker. Ernie was the Golden Gloves Champion from 1956 to 1958, boxing under the name of “Ernie Martin”. He loved fishing and spending his summers on the riverbank with family and friends.

He is survived by his children, Michael (Chris) Rundle, Mark (Kim) Rundle, Monty (Kendra) Rundle and Marcie (Tom) Morris; brothers, Bill Rundle and Jerry Martin; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and his companion, Judy Cox. He was preceded in death by his wife and soul mate, Deanna and six siblings.

Services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Monday, April 11, 2011, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until service time Monday, at the funeral home.
