Sharon Reese

Sharon Reese, 79, was born August 1, 1931, in Salem, Oregon, the daughter of Ralph and Claire Hamilton. She died Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at her home in Urbandale.

Sharon was the Coordinator of Speech and Language Development for the Des Moines School District. She also worked in the special education department with speech impaired children at Smouse School. Sharon loved to play bridge and do crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed genealogy and celebrating her favorite holiday, Christmas, with her family.

Sharon is survived by her children, Ralph S. Hamilton, David (Dawn) Wolvek, and Becky (Ron) Rogers; three grandchildren, Nick Rogers, Lindsey Wolvek and Wendy Wolvek; one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Reese.

A Memorial Visitation will be held 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines.
