Service Details
Clara Vujnovich, 88, died Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m., Friday, April 8, at Christ the King Catholic Church, with burial following at Jordan Cemetery. A visitation will be from 9:30 a. m. until service time at the church.
Clara was born May 17, 1922, in Des Moines to Antonio and Carmella Abruzzese.
Clara is survived by her daughter, Louise (John) Slack; son, John R. (Toni) Vujnovich; Stephen (JoAnn) Birdsall; sister, Mary Longo; five grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, John Vujnovich.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Italian American Cultural Center or Christ the King Church.

John,Louann and familys,Aunt Clara was such a wonderful person. She was always my favorite Aunt,and I will truly miss her.I'am so sorry for your loss, and yet so happy that she has had 88 wonderful years.It is a blessing that she did not have to suffer.Your all in our thoughts and prayers.
