Service Details
Dena Mae Price, 83 passed away March 27, 2011, at Bright Kavanagh House from effects of Alzheimer’s. To honor her wishes, a private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George; brothers, George Thomas Jr. and Kenneth Thomas; sisters, Iva Milner, Ruby Krietler, and Francis Lucille Thomas.
Dena will be missed by her beloved daughters, Judy Price and Cyndy Crawford; sister, Patty (Don) Landgrebe; two step-grandkids; and several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of Central Iowa.

I posted this once but it is not showing so I must have done something wrong.
Dena was my Godmother and one the kindest, sweetest and loving people I have ever known. She was such a close friend to my mother and our family it will never be the same without her. Every single year until I was 21 I got a birthday card from her addressed to Junior Taber. She called me Junior until I was almost 30. I recall when I was young I always looked forward to going to visit Dena because she would always make sure there was a treat for me. I recall many times my mother would say no, but Dena would insist and say come on Geneva a little treat won't hurt after all he is a growing boy. On occasion she would sneak me a treat if needed. When I got into High School she had Cindy help get me a job at Henry's Drive In. I started the job my first day of High School and worked there for 3 years. During that time Cindy and I became good friends and have remained so over the years. I will miss Dena and the sweet smile she always used to give me. Cindy and Judy I am sorry for your loss, I know how difficult the last few years have been and the types of things you have gone through. My thoughts, prayers and love are with you and if there is anything I can do please let me now. Dena I will miss you and the world is a much better place for having you in it.

Hi Judy and Cindy,
I am sorry to hear about your Mom -- we go back many years since we were about 20. I an sorry I did not see her in later years but always had fond memories of her and your Dad also.
