Anne F. Starkovich, 92, passed away March 23, 2011, at Ramsey Village, supported by Iowa Hospice. She was born December 27, 1918, in Melcher, IA, to Johanna and Louis Radosevich.
Anne worked at the Des Moines Ordinance plant during World War II making bullets. After the war she married and was a homemaker and an active volunteer in the community. Anne was a life long member of Visitation Catholic Church.
Anne is survived by her daughter, Sheila (Dave Lingwall) Starkovich and two grandchildren., Michael and Anne; her brother, Frank Radosevich; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Joseph, her parents and four sisters.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 26, 2011, at Our Lady of the Americas Visitation Chapel, 1271 E. 9th Street, followed by burial at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Family School in her loving memory.

We were so sorry to read about your mom's passing. We remember meeting her a couple of times at your house. She was a lovely lady and had a wonderful smile. We'll be thinking about you and praying that your wonderful memories help to get you through this difficult time.

Shiela and Family,
I'll miss Anne at lunch time at Ramsey. She was fiesty but had a big heart and always thankful for whatever you did for her. She always paid attention when you least expected. I went one day and new it was a bad hair day and she called me on it. Ask me if if I was going to do anything with my hair? I just had to laugh and give her a hug. I told I would handle it before before I went anywhere else. Thinking of you Mary Maitre Gertrude Holin daughter & Anne's table mate.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss Sheila. I was very fond of both your Mother and Father. I was the director at the Logan Center before I went to Park Fair Mall. I was also a North Graduate. My prayers are with you as I just lost my Mother a year ago on the 28th of this month.
