Kevin L. Klock, 66, died unexpectedly Monday, March 21, 2011, at his home in Saylorville. He was born May 8, 1944, in Freeport, Illinois, to Leonard and Ruth (Watts) Klock.

Kevin owned and operated Rite-Way Auto Body for over 40 years, but his true love since 2001 was for saving and restoring antique tractors, especially red ones. He was a die-hard Republican who talked politics with anyone who would lend an ear. Roy Rogers was his childhood hero and continued to be through adulthood.

Kevin is survived by his wife of 45 years, Anola; son, Michael (Lisa) Klock; grandsons, James and Brandon Klock; mother, Ruth Spurlin; sister, Pam Smaha; and a host of other family and beloved friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Klock.

A memorial visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Thursday, March 24, 2011, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League in loving memory of Kevin.
