John Colbert

John Colbert, 80, went home to be with the lord Monday, April 2, 2007 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 6, 2007 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. prior to the service.
John was born April 1, 1927 in Oktaha, OK. He was a retired chef with Latin King Restaurant.
John is survived by his daughters, Johnita Colbert, Sharon Colbert and Patricia (Michael) Knox and Deborah (Alton) Sterling; sons, Horace Johnson and Timothy Johnson, Sr.; sisters, Rhoda Springer and Gracie Mae (Hollis) Logan; grandchildren, Kaycee, Tanika, Alton, Jr., Timothy Jr., Zachary, Eleanor, Michael and Shontionna; five great-grandchildren; companion, Carlotta Parkey and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
