Lang Loeurng

Lang Loeurng, age 47, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2011 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m., Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Garden under the direction of Reverend Shawna Beeman. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Born February 2, 1964 in Battambong, Cambodia, Lang was the son of Pohn Loeurng and Saveun Chhom. He grew up in Battambong before moving to Omaha Nebraska where he graduated from Omaha Lincoln High School.

On July 4, 1986, Lang was united in marriage to Eth Sam in Des Moines. The couple made there home in Des Moines where Lang began working for Efco Corporation as a steel material handler. Lang was an avid fisherman, and also enjoyed making fishing lures, hunting and playing his guitar. Most of all he loved spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Eth Sam; three children, Amanda Loeurng, Soriya Loeurng, and Morelieka Loeurng all of Des Moines. He is also survived by two sisters, Sarim Loeurng, and Saroeum Loeurng both of Des Moines; and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
