Steven W. Hill

Steven Wayne Hill, 61, of Urbandale passed away on March 19th at Taylor Hospice House, after a short but courageous battle with cancer.

Steve had been employed at Krueger’s as a mechanic. He loved golf, his racing game on PS3 and attending every race at the Newton Race Track. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.

Survivors include his wife, Cathey Halsten-Hill (Urbandale), mother, Mary Hill (Des Moines); children and step children; Heather (Chris) Maland (Ankeny), Kim (Michael) Schneider (Castle Rock, Colorado), Jeffery Hill (Ankeny), Amy Halsten (WDM), Sarah (Corey) Onnen (Des Moines) and Ronnie Halsten (Des Moines), his siblings Chris (David) Oliver (Clive), Larry (Diana) Hill (Des Moines) and four grandchildren; Stephanie, Carson, Connor and Lauren and one on the way. Steve was preceded in death by his father Wayne and brother, Ron.
