Anna Marie Williams went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 18th, enroute to support the UNI Women’s basketball team with the UNI pep band for the NCAA tournament. Anna loved life, her family, friends, and her joy was contagious to those around her. She loved singing with her sisters and cousins, playing her trombone, and pounding on her drums. My deepest sympathies to you all; I'm tremendously sorry for your loss. I didn't know Anna very well, but I've been in the marching band at UNI with her for the past two years and we sat together on the way to St. Louis at the last men's tournament. In that short time together, it was completely clear that Anna was a very considerate and kind person, and I know I would have loved getting to know her even more as time went on. My entire family's thoughts and prayers are with you all.
