Armetta D. Cleary

Armetta D. Cleary, 87, passed away March 16, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center. She was born November 1, 1923.

She enjoyed being involved with Sunshine Open Bible Church, attending worship every Sunday and working in the yard with her rose bushes and around the house. Armetta was a very active lady who loved spending time with the whole family including her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchild. She enjoyed cooking big meals for the family on Sundays, traveling with her family on vacations, spending the summer camping at Cloud 9 Ranch in the Ozarks, and listening to country music on the radio.

Armetta is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Joseph Cleary; daughter, Dixie (Jim) Holdrege; step-son, Richard Cleary; sister, Kathleen Schwartztrauber; sister, Bernice Nall; brother, Gene Barnes; grandchildren, Mike Wright and Pam Wright; great-grandchildren, Jason Wright, Michael Wright and Matthew Wright; great-great-grandchild, Jayce Wright. She was preceded in death by her sister, Jane Barnes; brother, Jack Barnes; son, Clarence Shelton; step-son, Joseph Cleary, Jr.; grandson, Bernard Wright; great-grandson, Justin Wright; parents, Charlie and Floretta Barnes.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2011, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2011, at Sunshine Open Bible Church, 2130 Easton Blvd., followed by burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
