Josephine Bejarno

Josephine Elizabeth Bejarno, 86, was born March 12, 1925, in West Des Moines, the daughter of Luis and Francisca (Moreno) Murillo. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family Monday, March 14, 2011, at Bright Kavanagh House.
Josie was a faithful servant of the Lord who had a strong love for her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all those who were blessed to have known her.
Josie is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Joaquin Bejarno; children, Christine (Arnie Nagla) Brower, Cathy (Jim) Leaf, Sophia (Scott) Winters and Anthony (Alesia) Bejarno; daughters-in-law, Deb and Teri Bejarno; grandchildren, Jeff and Greg Brower, Tim (Jill), Joe (Carin) and Marc (Betsy) Bejarno, Jimmy and Tina Leaf, Stephanie Burris and Nick Bejarno; 13 great-grandchildren; siblings, Louis (Laura) and Jackie (Barb) Murillo; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Mary; her sons, David and Vincent Bejarno; her sisters, Trina, Sally, Frankie, June, Rachel and Carmen; her brothers, Joe and Luis and her parents.
The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 17, 2011, at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street, where a rosary will be held at 5:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 18, 2011, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony Catholic Church in loving memory of Josie.

My heart goes out to all of the Bejarno Family. I have had such pleasure being a friend of the family for so many years and sharing the love that pours from within.
I also LOVED THE FRESH TORTILAS, PORK CHOPS AND CHILI. She was an awesome person with a beautiful smile and I know she will be missed.
